Health Information Support Offered at Lewes Library

Free and confidential consumer health information assistance will be offered at the Lewes Public Library walk-in from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month.

A Certified Consumer Health Information Specialist will be available to help customers gather and understand medical and health information on a variety of topics. From helping community members learn more about conditions and illnesses, medical tests, prescription drugs and medical procedures, to understanding mental health and making life choices healthy, this service aims to empower people to find and use reliable information about their health needs.

“If you find it frustrating to get information about your health, you’re not alone,” said Dana Ravyn, CHIS. “People want to understand their health status but often don’t know where to find reliable information. With our free and confidential service, a certified health information professional can help you get the right information from trusted sources.
