Passengers coming to Bangladesh will be required to complete the online health declaration form within three days of departure, the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh said in its latest circular last night (April 20, 2022).

Incoming passengers can access the health declaration form on http://healthdeclaration.dghs.gov.bd which has a QR code and can be downloaded and printed, CAAB said.

Before boarding, airlines must ensure that the passenger has the health declaration form with QR code, he also said.

Passengers should present the completed form with QR code (electronic/printed copy) to immigration upon arrival, read the flyer.

Passengers with symptoms of Covid-19 should contact the health unit before proceeding with immigration, he added.

CAAB in the circular also mentioned that travelers with a full dose (single/double dose, if applicable) of the WHO-approved Covid-19 vaccine can enter Bangladesh with the official proof of vaccination and no Covid negative certificates. -19 based on RT-PCR is required. .

Travelers without a full dose of vaccine can enter Bangladesh if they have a negative RT-PCR Covid-19 certificate (test taken within 72 hours of departure time).

No RT-PCR negative certificate is required for incoming passengers under the age of 12.

However, when traveling as a family, minors must comply with the same health formalities as those applicable to members of their family on arrival.

Whether vaccinated or not, if symptoms of Covid-19 are detected in a traveler upon arrival, they will be subjected to an RT-PCR/antigen test by the health authority.

If the RT-PCR/Antigen test result is positive, he/she will be sent to isolation in a government-designated facility or hotel at his/her own expense.

Another RT-PCR/antigen test will be done after seven days and he/she will be released when the test result is negative.

Quarantine will be carried out by the respective government agencies in charge, the circular added.

Departing passengers must comply with the latest restrictions/requirements imposed by the transit/destination country or airlines.
