Aliyu as governor of Sokoto will improve health services, Wamakko assures visiting health workers
All Progressive Sokoto State Congress (APC) leader Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko has assured that the party’s gubernatorial candidate in Sokoto, Ahmad Aliyu will significantly improve health services for the benefit of population.
Wamakko gave this assurance on Tuesday by receiving more than 2,000 members of the Ahmad Aliyu Medical Aid Association for a courtesy visit to his residence in Gawon Nama.
While thanking the group for the visit, Wamakko commended them for their commitment to supporting the provision of quality health services across the state.
Earlier, the association’s team leader, Alhaji Usman Aliyu, told the senator that the group provides medical support to people in the state as part of its social responsibility to people, especially those in areas. rural.
Usman noted that despite the limitations in capacity and political will of the government at the time with the attendant threats and hardships across the state, his group remained committed to ensuring it achieved the goals of improvement in health care.
“The association has 23 coordinators and more than 2,000 members across the state who are working around the clock to mobilize support for the APC in the upcoming election,” Usman said.
He explained that the association is solely an APC support group that uses its resources to purchase various medical equipment for its operations.
He announced Senator Wamakko as a great patron of the association as a mark of honor for what he has done to the people of the state during his tenure as Governor which has had a positive impact on their health status.
Usman then pledged that Association members would strengthen their commitment to providing routine medical support to needy and vulnerable sections of the state.
In separate remarks, the Association’s Vice President, Alhaji Ibrahim Yusuf, and a member of its Board of Directors, Alhaji Shehu Muhammad Tureta informed the Senator that they will not forget his giant strides in the sector. of state health.
They recalled that during the Wamakko regime, all 244 wards in the state had functioning and world-class standard primary health care centers fully equipped with facilities and professionals who properly manned them.
They pledged to continue working together for the victory of the APC at all levels in the 2023 elections, adding that the choice of Alhaji Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto as the APC Governor’s flag bearer for the elections of 2023 was the right decision at the right time.
